The Adventures of Ace Family
Hi! We’re Alex and Cassie, the authors and photographers behind Adventures of Ace. Our story began in Seattle, WA as two lovebirds longing to see the world beyond their childhood neighborhood. Fast forward to lately, we are now a world travel family that’s based in Europe, along with our young daughter and globetrotting dog.
We prefer road trips down routes less traveled and to underrated destinations, all while practicing the art of budget travel.
All of our posts are 100% our own and based on first hand experiences (both successes and failures). Happy reading!
Our Family Travel Style
We believe most places can be traveled to and explored as a family. A destination does not need to be “family friendly” in order for it to be manageable with kids. Although choosing a water park, Disneyland or an all-inclusive resort is often deemed as convenient, we’re here to prove that there are other options.
Our family travel adventures have never been planned with restrictions in mind and we’ve continued to travel freely. World travel with kids is possible… anywhere!
Naturally, there are small things we’ve learned from traveling as a family and you’ll find our best tips ‘n tricks in our posts from these experiences. Above all, Adventures of Ace is first and foremost a blog for all travelers, with kids or without.

Shop Vintage Items
While travelling, we’re usually not keen on the typical types of souvenirs. You will not find our luggage filled with magnets, shot glasses, or snow globes. Instead, we’ve become used to stopping at thrift stores, flea markets, and antique shops in every city we travel to.
We enjoy keeping many of the treasures we find to ourselves and display them in our own home. Then, there are some pieces which we want to share with our beloved readers and anyone who equally appreciates the beauty of all things vintage.
