Photography has become a fundamental part of our travels and day to day life. Any black and white photos (and some color photos) you will see on our site are film photos taken by Alex. Furthermore, they’re developed by Alex at home.
With film photography, you don’t have the luxury of a memory card to fill with your attempts at the perfect shot. Unless we want to waste an entire roll of film, we only have a couple tries to capture our vision and hope it turns out well upon development. This process has allowed us to appreciate the details, quality and beauty in ordinary moments because each one is unique.
The ultimate purpose of our photos is to reproduce these moments into something we can look back on and feel, smell and see what we did at the time the photo was taken. Not all photos are perfect but hey, neither is life so why should we pretend?
